This is one of those wonderful side-effects from a server upgrade.

And give Geoff his due - thsi one's been a really smooth one... Longer term members will remember one long outage that resulted in the productivity of Sheffield increasing, shares in anti-depressant and tranquiliser companies going through the roof and the Sheffield divorce rate increasing when couples started talking to one another. :)

There may be the odd blip over teh next 24 hours, as Geoff's suggested elsewhere, so assume weird-stuff is due to the upgrade. :)

It's possible.

For the next 24 hours or so there might be a few 'oddities' that take place.

What you could do is just try logging out, clearing cookies and logging back in again.

A few minutes' ago, I was going to have a rant about ads in the middle of a page in a thread, but then I realised that I'd been logged out again.

I've already done the clear cookies thing, and I know it's not that, so any other suggestions will be useful.

I remember when this happened before, it was weeks before it was sorted, and I seem to remember that it wasn't a cookie problem at all, but a problem at server level.
