I was just thinking about the old word processor I tried to get rid of in the ad section of SF a while ago.

It was a classy, professional Triumph Adler model which I bought second hand, but I believe the same model retailed at around £600 when it first came out - probably in the late eightries.

Anyway, I asked £10 for it at first - no takers. Then I offered it free - no takers.

Sadly, I eventually took it to the dumpit site and dropped it from a great height into a skip - rendering it useless.

It's such a shame. I'm sure someone, soewhere could have made use of it for their coursework or something.

Why didn't you take it to a charity shop, they could have made money on it ?

Or place an ad on Ebay, they sells nearly anything.

Or the people at the tips often collect workable items to sell on but you have to give them the item, if it goes into the bins (apart from being broken) it is the council property.
