a pay phone?

Very rare nowadays I expect. For me it was abroad, Algarve in September I think due to the ridiculous mobile call costs!

i used on in town the other month because i ran out of credit on mi mobile and there alot cheaper to use then mobiles

Think the last time i used one was in benidorm not last year but the year before :confused: :hihi:

middle of last month when the other half wasrushed into hospital- crikey, it robbed me of £1 for a few seconds' call- give me a mobile anyday

Twice in the last month!

Once was when my mobile had a flat battery and the sceond was when I realised I might be on the phone for a little while so I used the landline rather than the mobile 'cos it would be cheaper.

about 3 months ago when some idiot crashed into me and wrecked my car, my breakdown company no is freephone and easier to ring from the phonebox than worry about my credit on my mobile running out

In this country? March 1999. Don't think I'd know how to use one now!

I know it's a cynically snobbish view but I always associate people using payphones with people trying to score smack :|

Probably last year, same as Joe I needed to make an urgent call and the mobile was flat as a pancake!

D'oh! That'll teach me to keep my phone charged up regularly.

Saw one yesterday with a sign on it saying "this phone does not take coins"

Needed to use one a few weeks ago several times when our BT landline needed a fault reporting. WOuld have used mobile but its costs a fortune to ring 0800 numbers.

Needless to say when i got there it didnt work.:mad:

i had to use a payphone a couple of weeks back and it cost me £4!!!!!! never again will i forget my phone:rant:

Dont have mobile use home phone with free calls evenings & Weekends

I tried to use two last night and neither worked

A couple of months ago in town when my mobile conked out AND, surprisingly, it worked but why do phone boxes ALWAYS smell of wee??:gag:

Would have been while I was in Singapore or Australia last year.

Last time i used one was when we was in Turkey last year to ring family, Ive used the free pay phones loads of times for taxis if that counts every weekend when out shopping, but as for public phone to ring someone i dont use them unless im away.

Two years ago in Lanzarote. Last year o2 gave me free international minutesa so I used my mobile.
