we have 2 african greys both from scotland we took the second one in (Monty) because the woman said that it was a girl, so would get on with oscar (the african grey we already had) but it turned out it was a boy. and oscar is always trying to bite and fight with monty.my bfs mum took oscar but she can no longer have him now so we have to re-home monty as oscar isn't as tame as monty is. Monty is very tame and will climb on her hand sit on ur shoulder and sit with u at night, BUT he prefers women and so would need to go to a woman. he will still step onto a mans hand but he may try to bite sometimes.(which he does to my bf!) he has some bad habbits from when he was in scotland, he likes to eat whatever u are eating and will fly over to u for some food! he is very noisy! he sings and whistles ALOT but doesn't really talk much. he can be annoying as he picks up certain noises ( like the sound of the battery going on my mobile) and once hes done it once he will keep doing it for ages! all the time! until he finds another noise he likes doing. He needs to go to a home where someone is home most the time as he doesn't like being on his own. he is left out of his cage most the time here and has freedom to fly around he likes to sit of the back of the armchair (or on the light! which he knows hes not meant to do). so he needs to be allowed to be out of his cage most of the time. we would still have him when u go on holiday if u want. we would like to still come and vist aswell and keep in touch. it is very important that he goes to the right home. he is 12 years old ( they can live up to 100) he also likes to land on peoples heads including the dogs! but the most important thing is that he is with someone that will care for him and look after him well and give him a good life.
