Rainrescue 16-04-2007, 22:10 Well done for you helping Everything Pets Rescue
Rachel Elaine and the gang do lots of hard work helping dogs in pounds on the lists. In fact they have just been in and helped ~Sheffield and got a few out.
One of them being a terribly old collie who had been found in a terrible state. Everything Pets will help him on his way to feeling better in himself - and between us we will all look for a nice foster home for him, or rescue that will let the boy end the rest of his days in a loved and caring environment.
Please rally round and help them in any way you can - they are a great bunch.

TattyBear 27-04-2007, 19:35 Can someone confirm if you have to pay £3 to get in if you are entering your dog in classes? I was thinking of taking 2 children which would therfore cost a bomb just for us 4 to get in without the classes, drinks, food etc.. I have pm'd Icenibulldog but havent heard anything back. Strix did you get a reply regarding this?

Enough of the sarcasm, the prices you quote above are for pro shows, not fun ones! Dont start geting clever on here! People on here love, care and do alot for charity! You are well out of order and alot of people on here think you are being expensive! (delete if you want but I for one am not going to sit silently and be told by someone like this that if I think this is expensive that I cant care for my own dog! )
I think that's quite enough of that :suspect:
IceniBulldog - that sharp tongue really isn't the best way to attract people into attending your event, which is a real shame for your charity
Tattybear - less of the playground attitude. I'll remind you that you are not a spokesperson for the pets group
thread closed
thread reopened for updates
please don't post anything likely to result in re-closure
Rainrescue 28-04-2007, 22:06 Hope you all had a good day today. We couldn't get up in the end - dogs out and things.
How did it go?
These shows are so hard to organise - but they do get easier so they say
I really hope you managed to get lots of funds in for Everything Pets. I knowthey are looking for a nice foster home for an old collie that came out of Sheffield the other week, and he needs some vet work doing on him, so no doubt any money raised will be heading his way as well as the others.
Thanks for organising it - and I hope its worthwhile.

TattyBear 28-04-2007, 22:25 We went up and there was hardly anyone there. And for some reason I thought it would be outside, maybe thats my fault as the fun dog shows I have been to have always been outside in a field/park/school grounds etc..
It was such a beautiful day I couldnt bare to keep the dogs inside a building for hours so we went to graves park for a picnic. Hope they made some money for the charity as there was only about 6 dogs there when I left.
That's a shame :( I hope it filled up after you left Tatty..
Difference is, had we gone, mine would've been better inside as the poor sods get sun stroke with being white!! Had my sister not fully arranged to treat me for my birthday I'd have gone..
Hope it picked up and you had a great day IceniBulldog!
It did pick up after you were there TattyBear, but not till around 12. Not sure how many dogs were there in the end, but enough to be worth attending I think.
IceniBulldog 29-04-2007, 13:56 The Show got off to a very slow start LOL, But picked up at 12:45ish ..
We had in total around 29 Dogs Entered Although Most Entered several Classes and We Raised=
£313.70 IN TOTAL (which was handed to Everything Pets Rescue at the end of the day )
We are also applying to Norwich Union to match it pound for pound so this figure should DOUBLE soon .
It was a good Experience , nice to meet some good ppl and a relaxed a attmosphere . The Kids really enjoyed it . Nice and cool inside for the dogs
Jollyes Petstore were AMAZING , We had Rosettes for 1,2,&3rd places , and all three Places won a Large dog toy , or large Bag of treats . The Best in Show won 30kg Of Premium dog food , A Trophy , T-shirt etc . The resrve took 15 kg of food , trophy and T-shirt ,The KIds Loved it and so did the adults .Not a bad turn out for th e first show either , No tears or trouble and a great family attmosphere .
Everyone Loved the best trick class with the dog that could countLOL and the best sausage Catcher class stole the show !
