anyone know where to buy a parrot from in the south yorkshire area what are the costs and the pros and cons in owning one:)

It sleeps a lot, though, and needs a little help staying on the perch...

Best place for a parrot is in the great wide open. Wonderful birds. Shame to put one in a cage, panda:)

talkative
intelligent

cons-
very expensive
destructive
noisy
easily depressed if bored
need constant stimulation
needs aviary & perch (NOT cage)
dangerous if riled
bear grudges for a long time
long lived (may outlive you)

my brothers got 2 african greys....they were about 600 quid each..but like someone said above they need condtant attention,they are like babies......but they are very funny..one of them has copied the phone ring to a "T" the other ones says "make ya sen useful love put kettle on":) :) :)

I'm sure there's one in Pets At Home on Heeley atm, just ask for their returns policy in case anything goes wrong.
Fairly sure that ones only £100 too! Could be wrong though.
