I can't see up to date stuff been on Bravo. I suspect it may be old events or documentary's.

I suggest if you want to follow MMA you hook up with a trader who will be able to supply you with UFC and Pride events.

i dont have sky but will hopefully be picking up the dvd's soon.

i used to train at a place that regulary had royce gracie do lectures (he's about 6 times champion or sumat like that)

sadly i did hear that we get some bits cut for the british viewing which as ever is bloody stupid.

I'm not sure that is the case. With all the rules changes which hs made it more appropriate for TV these days.

You may be forced into buying it via PPV on sky. the DVD is the best option but there is a delay in them been released here. A better option is to find a trader from across the pond and get them that way.

Off topic slightly but i used to watch K1 on sky sports. That got pretty brutal at times and it's where our very own Matt Skelton came from.
The only Ultimate fighting i have seen is the old ones on VHS. They were the proper no holds barred contest's. I think the last one i saw is when one of the Gracie (i think) brothers won it for the first time. I remember being gutted because a grappler type fighter had won it!.

K1 is serious stuff. Alot of washed up old heavyweight boxers have had a go and not done too well.

Bob Sapp features quite a bit with his 'bull rush'.

the `grapplers' are the best fighters it seems.. ok its not as much fun to watch as watching the people doin tae-kwon-do but ju-jitsu seems to win over on most of the ultimate fightings.

ohhhh now i feel like watching some

It's mainly because grapplers are so dominant on the ground. I've trained at Greco wrestling and from my experiene once a wrestler of decent standard gets you to the ground it's a hell of a job to get them off. They use a wide base which helps them to control the balance perfectly and resist and react to any counter movements. Then they just drain your strength slowly.

yeah i did ju-juitsu and the ground fighting was so bloody hard. and tiring!.

i once got out of a hold that some good brown belt did...but thats bout it.. rest of time i had my face squashed on the floor sayin ermmm yeah ok you win! haha

I have a drawful of UFC DVD's :)

Tito Ortiz being my best, or Frank Shamrock.. I have some of the greatest UFC fights to date on DVD!
