Hiya

I dunno about now, but I do remember them as a very young child. I was a flower girl one year for the May Queen:headbang: LOL

Been nice to hear what happened to them though.

I used to go to CCP. and was at college with the younger daughter, Aileen, in fact it will be the youngest son, sim's birthday on the 25th April, (IIRC)

there was elizabeth, and another son who's name i can't remember. (was it Nick?)

The mother, Sheila wrote a book with some very funny anecdotes called "The Sparkes Fly Upwards" about the antics, and hilarious things the kids said and did. Sheila passed away about fifteen -odd years ago, now, (probably nearer 20 yrs! gosh how time flies!!!) she was a lovely lady, as is Don, who was the vicar.

I remember their little terrier dog, Zebedee. he was lovely.

Don retired some years ago, (about fifteen or so) he remarried a really nice lady, after sheila's passing, and retired to a quiet derbyshire town, if i remember rightly.

He was one of the ministers in sheffield responsible for an upsurge in interest in the Charismatic revival. setting up the South Yorkshire Charismatic Renewal, in 1985/6 john Wimber came to the cathedral, for a "signs And Wonders" conference on "gifts of the Spirit."

I knew Sim and Aileen best of all the offspring, as I was the same age as Sim (well i'm 20 days older than he) and was at college with Aileen.

I know a lady who is married to one of the sons, but not sure which one. When I see her next, I will mention that someone is interested in how they are doing now and see if she can log onto this thread to let you know carsupplier.
