A story in todays Sunday times:

Excuse me, but isn't car theft a crime? And isn't identifying perpetrators of crimes what the police are already paid to do?

The Times are a bit slow on the uptake aren't they? People have been being charged for years when their stolen car gets recovered! You can claim it back off your insurance claim anyway, should you make one.

this happened to me.
i wasnt a happy bunny as it was found within walking distance of my house.
i never got a phonecall to say it had been recovered...i should have been given the option to remove it myself as it was legally parked where it had been left and wasnt a danger to the public.
to mathom,
i have an excess on my policy for £100 so to claim for a fiver would have been silly as the car wasnt worth that much so didnt want to make a claim

The point is that the police are using it as an income generator by NOT telling you were it's parked so you can pick it up yourself. Also they won't do any investigation unless you pay them to - unbelieveable!

They recently washed there hands of any dealings with online fraud - what's next, burglary? Once they shrug off responsability for all the common crimes they should have a nice easy life....

Robbed twice eh?

Mind you I can see why doing forensics is seen to be a waste of time when the do gooders courts don't give out correct justice.
