im looking for inspiration of alternative careers that i could do with a law degree other than taking the solicitor or barrister route...has anyone got any ideas?

Work for TV, on detective dramas giving expert advice on court cases and the likes!

not sure i would be cut out for police work, citizens advice sounds feasible though. thank you for the suggestions i will look into them.

Mcdonalds?? When you serve a burger and someone chokes on a plaster you can give them advice on how to sue their asses!!!

Prison Service - either as Uniformed Officer and aim for promotion which is good money, or one of the various careers attached to working in this area, e.g probation work, drugs work etc. Check out the Home Office website and theres a link to the Prison Service. Not an easy career option though.

you will find it more lucrative .... less stressful and more useful in other parts of the world too .....

Corporate Law is one helluva an earner - I know someone whose xmas bonus was £75k. admittedly head of european operations for a global concern, so not everyone gets there. but he is only 30 something and a rock solid working class brummie lad who puts chips up his nose for a laugh on skiing holidays. if u got it go 4 it. wanna see the pic?
