Teehee, yep...call me Mummywolf from now on:D

I'm really curious to know, are there any city-wide groups/ forums, etc for preggy people? Is there a place they all go to meet? (apart from Jessops, thanks).
There are some great online country-wide forums, but I'm wondering if I'm missing out on something a little more local.

And if there aren't, is anyone else out there ready to start something for Sheffield?

 Thank you!

I feel like such a show off, but really I'm just keen to meet other fat, hormonal, hungry people, lol.

I'll get it over with before anyone else does: school seems to be the accepted place for the gravid to meet nowadays.

For the more mature mum-to-be there isn't a huge amount of choice for gathering. Mind you, most people work nowadays anyway. You do tend to meet people at ante-natal classes later on in pregnancy though.

I'm not going back to school!:gag:

Surely there are Forums, etc where we can all get together and bitch about Jessops, GPs, etc...

You could try contacting your local Sure Start. I am sure they would know of any such groups.

Congratulations!!!!

Good idea, thanks FetishFairy...how you're supposed to know everything suddenly just cos you're up the duff, I don't know. I know nothing! But I'd been having some good conversations on Bounty.com and thought...surely Sheffield has something similar. I want to talk to people I could actually meet up with, or who are having the same Sheffield-based issues.

Maybe I should talk Geoff into a whole new section, lol.

Phan - Thanks, sweetie!

Congratulations cosywolf:)
I am 6months pregnant.
Hope everything is going well for you.
Try netmums.org (or it could be co.uk) they have regional groups and local noticeboards to meet other mums etc, very good for info too!

(thats for Sheffield)

Do they still call it anti-natal? My brother & his wife went to 'parent craft' classes, they got taught everything, even practised putting nappies on dolls! Don't worry mate, you'll soon be great...everyone has to learn. My brother's wife says that this website helped her a lot...http://www.babycentre.co.uk/community/

Lol, I hope it's not anti-natal! It's ante, meaning 'before' (instead of 'against').
Thanks, all. It's Sheffield stuff I'm looking for specifically, though I'll look at the ones you all suggested. I've currently been spending time on Bounty.com.
Looks like there are a few of us, at least (congrats to mer and elf!) Maybe we can start something ourselves. I'm interested in a place to meet online, I think, as it's hard enough to find a spare hour, park, pay, etc. What does anyone else think? I'll have a look around.

Wow,
thanks for the Netmum resource...though it's mostly parents, there are plenty of Sheffielders...looking forward to investigating it more (when not at work).
