Hello there,

I have 2 lop eared house rabbits who I love with all my heart. One is a beige male called Pegbert who will be 5 years old in August, and his girlfriend is black and white called Maggie-May who will be 3 years old in October.

I rescued them both from rescue centres, as they had both been previously mistreated. They are naturally quite timid as they are obviously scarred from the awful treatment they had before me.

They are very sweet and always snuggled up together. I have them as house rabbits, and by that I mean they roam in the house and use their litter trays. They lived in hutches before so they'd be just as happy in a hutch, especially if they had a garden to run about in!

I don't want to give them up, but due to a relationship ending I have to move, and am moving into a place where no pets are allowed :( If you think you have a place in your home and heart for 2 beautiful rabbits, please contact me. Any questions please email me on littleladybrighton@yahoo.co.uk.

Thank you. x

I'm going to move this to the pets group, where it will be seen by lots of the forum animal lovers.

You may also want to PM sooz22, who volunteers in bunny rescue (I'm not really much help to you for this one, since I'm a cat rescue bod).

I wish you luck in finding lovely new homes for your buns.

Oh dear :(

It bugs me when places say they don't allow pets - given how much damned mess people can make - with or without pets

If its a private let, sometimes you can talk them into accepting pets if you offer a slightly larger deposit and/or demonstrate that the pets will not be left alone in the property to roam free and cause damage (eg they'll be caged)

If there is no way they'll change their mind, is this a long term place, or do you plan to move again? Would a fosterer for the interim be suitable?

Thank you for your help. It is a long term place yes, I've tried everything, talking to the landlord, trying to find a place that allows pets etc, but money is tight and have to settle for this new place...

I'm just hoping that they'll go somewhere with a garden and they'll be happier there where they can both run about in.

I would have considered fostering, but I don't think it's fair to them to be shoved about from pillar to post. I want them to be settled now they're older if that makes sense? I couldn't guarantee how long i would in this new place for. . . x

Hi

I can take your bunnies for you. I am a fosterer and I neuter and worm all rabbits prior to rehoming them (together) to home checked people subject to a returns contract. Let me know if I can help you, I have emailed you with more details and i have a lovely large hutch free at the moment.

These two are coming to mine tonight and I will post pictures soon. They should be available for rehoming in a couple of weeks so PM me if you are interested......usual conditions apply.

I am going to foster these bunnies for a few weeks on maggie24's behalf in the hope that she can find somewhere to live where she can take them with her. They are gorgeous rabbits and very friendly so Ive got my fingers crossed for her :)
