The BBC has applied to have South Road closed off on 21st November to allow filming of an episode of Silent Witness.

I know cos I used to live in walking distance of it and worked in the Netto up there back when I was a student at Loxley in 1996-97.

Yeah - I'm from Newcastle and although the word isn't exactly a part of everyday speech everyone knows what it means! Didn't realise it was a geordie word though...
