I don't know what created it, I have been sent it on a cd by someone (I trust that it's safe) I can't open it on my computer. Does anyone know what software I need to open it? or could someone open it and convert it to a Windows media player for me please :help:
Just googled and it is an itunes file. Going to go and see if I can sort it out but if anyone can help me in the meantime please do.
Thanks.
Try the Klite codec pack (includes media player classic) this has never failed me yet.

It's an Apple Lossless file. Some audio file converters for Windows listed here (http://www.versiontracker.com/php/qs.php?mode=basic&action=search&str=m4a&srchArea=windows&submit=Go), on Versiontracker. Or you could download iTunes (which will allow you to export as other files if you change the encoding option on the importing Tab of advanced, in the preferences).
Thank you very much indeed. I downloaded the Klite codec pack and it plays it.

Trust me to have the same problem twice in two days! :help:
I now have a windows movie maker file that a client can't play and this Media player classic thing doesn't want to play it either.
Any suggestions?
Download MS Movie maker:

Or maybe not!!!!! - Is this PC on XP???????
I've got it, we created it in Movie maker, but stupidly I didn't check that you could play it with Media player, and the client wants it as an mp3 or as a .wav file, and even though they are both windows, it wont let me do it. The software I downloaded earlier wont let me do it either.
Can anyone help me with this please? :help:
I managed to convert the file but it doesn't seem to play properly!
