Hi there,

I'll make my apologies now if i have posted this in the wrong situation. :?

I'm a volunteer for the Labrador Welfare charity and the moment i'm acting as fundraising coordinator (most of you will stop reading at this point as you'll think i'm after your money! but i'm not)

Every year in our region scores of dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own, for reasons from elderly owners unable to care for them any longer to family break ups. Our aim at Labrador Welfare is to provide accommodation and find a new loving and permanent home for these unfortunate animals. Although the charity is based in Sheffield we cover from Nottingham to as far as the North East.

In order for us to be able to continue to provide the same high level of care and accommodation, as well as allowing us to continue with our commitment to cover the veterinary expenses of all dogs, over 10 years of age, after they leave our care, Labrador Welfare is to hold their first Family Fun Day at the end of June.

The day will consist of Market stalls, bouncy castles, dog shows, face painting, cake stalls etc. We we be running our own market stalls however in addition we are selling 'pitches' to businesses/services/market stall owners. The monies obtained by the sale of pitches goes directly to the charity.

Pitches are limited and if anyone wishes to find out more information please do pm me.

Whilst the event is aimed to raise money and awareness of the charity are other aim is to provide a fun family day out and everyone is welcome. I will post another topic nearer the time to give more information about the date but keep free the 30 June and bring your families along. The event will be taking place close to the Grenoside area of Sheffield.

If your still reading this post thanks very much for your time.

I wish you luck, Susie, any animal rescue is a great cause in my book.

Don't forget to put it on "What's On in Sheffield" - http://www.sheffieldwhatson.org.uk/add_event.htm
