Anyway.

Hi! As you will know, I LOVE Avril. I listen to her tunes. I have her on my desktop wallpaper at home and work. I have a little picture of her at the side of my computer at work. I think shes gorgeous. I love her attitude. I love her dress sense. I think she rocks.

Im just listening to her songs and thought to myself... whats the best song? I cant actually choose one because all of them are great in different ways. In some cases, I feel I can relate to alot of her songs... how shes worded them, the events behind the lyrics etc.

So, for the other people who like Avril... or maybe not, just like one or two of her songs...

'Freak out ' from 'under my skin' i prefer the heavier guitars on these

My favourite isn't actually one of hers, it's a cover of Iris she did with the Goo Goo Dolls. Iris is one of my favourite songs anyway but she just adds that bit extra too it.

She doesn't bother me either way but I must admit that her vocal performance on I'm With You (Apr 2003) was very, very good.

I also think that it is one of the best recorded vocals I have ever heard. By that I mean the actual recording quality - the acoustics are beautifully balanced (crystal clear). I'd be interested to hear what microphone and technical gear was used and which studio and producer were used to get such wonderful results.

It's also surprised me somewhat to discover that her first album, Let Go, stayed on the UK Album Chart for 66 weeks and that both Let Go and its follow-up, Under My Skin, both got to number one.

Which shows just how out of touch I am with modern music!

I loved all of her previous songs, but I just can't bear Girlfriend! Sure, it's catchy, but it just seems so immature compared to her other songs... and the video is atrocious. :gag: I guess it's service for her teenage fans, but why does she think that repeatedly humiliating and hurting some poor woman is entertainment? Ugh.

Her new video sucks, She was pretty unique untill she did that, now she's just like everyone else.

I agree, and its scary how someone has thought that dressing her up to look pre-pubescent is a good career move. She is a 22 year old woman and she looks 12 in the video.

I got her greatest hits album for Christmas, there is only one track on it.

Did she do a song where she just stays completely silent for about 5 minutes? If she did, thats my favourite. If she didnt, she should do an album like that
