Tilly has progressed from the kitchen to a bean-bag at the top of the stairs. If she was given the choice, she would sleep with us, but that isn't going to happen.

My two have nests in the wardrobe and a cupboard, but during the colder months they crawl under the duvet and curl up with me which is gorgeous!

Some people find the thought distasteful, but they are indoor cats who never have any parasites, so it's all good. In fact, I know when Spring has finally arrived because they stop wanting to come into the warm, and I know when Autumn has properly begun the moment they nose their way in again.

On the bed or in the bed with me, unless my BF's here- cos they know they'll get kicked off if he's here.

Downstairs either on a chair or in the basket (depending who get's their first). They would prefer to sleep on the bed but get shooed downstairs each night. The big one even whines if he's on the bed already and you go to pick him up!

My two dogs sleep in the kitchen, wouldn't have them in the bed with me, partly because they're 25kgs each and partly because I know they'd get carried away and think they were suddenly higher in social status!

My two puss cats sleep wherever they feel like really.
Smitch starts off on my bed, then moves to her own bed when I kick her off in my sleep.
Smudge sleeps in the attic but occassionally stays in my room with me.

If Smitch has found a mouse at daft o'clock in the morning, she gets kicked out of the bedroom (because she makes a fuss meowing at it) and sleeps there until I'm awake enough to dispose of her 'present'.

I,ve got a pretty large hallway so mine sleep in their bed which is there, this means that when it is winter they can sleep at side of radiator and when it is hot they can sleep at side of front door. They also have the hall window to look out of because its quite low, I think they get their nosiness from me!

My 2 lady dogs sleep in the living room with the doors open so the cats (who sleep there to) have access to the cat tray, Durham dog sleeps in an armchair in my bedroom, not sure how that came about but we are a bit "joined at the hip" and i love it :hihi:

Mine have a routine... Basil is currently sat waiting to go to bed. When I go to bed she comes and sleeps at the bottom but usually gets a bit closer in the night. When i get up she then gets up has breakfast then goes to sleep on a dining chair which is hers.
She then goes back to bed around 11 usually with Ted and they have a mass groom and then a nap together.
She then gets up around 2 and likes a sit on the sofa.
About 5 she then falls asleep on her cat tower.
She might pace around for a bit then if I'm at my desk it's asleep on the desk until bed time.

Ted likes the printer (she's there now) or the floor but this week she's taken to sleeping on the pillow right next to my face which i don't really want to encourage as she snores like hell! She also likes the bathroom mat in winter at night. She likes the window next to the door when it gets sunny.

They have two cat beds and never use them. :suspect:

My cats like to sleep on the printer too!? It's never on so it's not like it's warm and it's hard so not very comfy? Mad things! :loopy:

But usually they all sleep with me either on or in the bed! Poppy likes to get under the duvet when it's cold!!

Charlie cuddles up next to me till Im nearly asleep and then he moves down the bed and sleeps on my feet. At that moment Marvin comes and takes Charlie's place next to me. Kaloulie sleeps with her paws round her man (my husband). Ollie sleeps just behind Marvin. Sydney sleeps under the bed or on my arm. Fudge sleeps on the armchair downstairs. Wilbur sleeps in the bathroom on the mat. George sleeps on the corridor on his cat sofa.

All of the above are the cats- and the below are puppies

Bailey Bumble has a cuddle and a kiss with his Daddy (Richard) and me then he goes and cuddles up to his favourite towel. Petie Puddle has a cuddle and then goes to sleep at the foot of the bed too.

If ever Im in bed when Richard isnt, strike the above and read as ALL THE ANIMALS ON THE BED WITH ME x

Dogs in utility room. Cats in kitchen. The cats used to sleep in my bed & used to wake me up early in the morning which i didnt mind as I am so bad at getting out of bed! But now we have wooden floors upstairs when they get up they pitter patter around which is really annoying, hence kitchen is the only place for them. Its a shame really that the dogs cant gaurd the house from the utility room, but we get up to check things out if were hear them barking. I wouldnt have them in the bed. The hygeine issues dont worry me but one of them snores terribly!! More importantly its not great for the respect/hierarchy issues in the family. They need to know they dont own the place!

p.s. have to confess that occassionally if i am ill and in bed on my own I do have all 4 in bed with me as a special treat, but this is only fun for about 10 minutes until i want to get some sleep as they fidget and woof and snore.....

The dogs sleep in the hallway with a double duvet cover which comes out just at bedtime, so they know when I put that on the floor next to the radiator is night nights!.

The cats sleep in the kitchen and they also have a bed each (3) which come out just at night aswell.

We have 3 cats in bed with us each night. And we sleep around them. Sometimes can't walk in the morning if my legs have been curled up all night.

The Chocador sleeps in the kitchen. He puts hisself to bed about 8pm, he goes for a wee very reluctantly when we go to bed, but other than that we don't know we've got him in the evening.
If we call him into us, he'll come in for a minute then go and flop back down onto his bed.

Last one to bed each night shuts the cats and dog into the kitchen/dining room where they can all (including the dog ;)) get out through the cat flap to the conservatory where the cat litter is or out to the garden for the dog.

The cats sleep curled up together on the computer chairs or dining chairs. The dog used to jump onto a dining chair but as she has got older she prefers to pull some clothes off the radiators onto the floor to sleep on  Even though she has a perfectly comfortable pet bed! Grandma cat whenever she can manage it will sneak up to sleep on my daughters bed, but she is evicted if seen. We started fastening them away after they kept waking us up, and everyone is used to the routine now. In fact if we are late going to bed, they all put themselves to bed before we can :)

Lilly has her dog bed in the corner of our bedroom which she is supposed to sleep in. To be fair she does sleep there most of the time but she comes up into our bed on weekend mornings. When I go to bed before the OH she comes into bed under the covers with me and lays in his spot and vice versa. He has been away for the last 4 nights so she has slept on his side permanently....he's back today though so she won't know what's hit her!

My doggy arrived yesterday we've not had chance to establish a routine, what we have discovered is that the basket (not a proper dog bed)'s side's are too high for her and she's not a fan of the bean bag. She seems happy to snooze on the sofa and rug. There's a gate on the stairs so there'll be no getting into bed with us (aren't we mean?).

My two cats sleep in the bed wth me and my boyfriend :) Macy has to sleep in the middle as she's a daddy's girl, but also wants the heat from me. Charlie sleeps my side, and is my hot water bottle

However this week Macy has been coming to bed later, and to get under the covers she bites my nose to wake me up, so I can let her under the duvet!

shes a hussy :hihi:

My 2 cats dont have beds because they sleep on our bed. Hubby hated it at first but it was me and the cats against him so we won. I usually wake in the night with my eldest cat having stole the whole of my pillow and my youngest asleep on my chest. Our doggie sleeps in the kitchen in a cage. Once shes stopped chewing we will get her a bed and who knows where that will go :hihi:

my pooch has his huge floor cushions to sleep on, in the kitchen, in the living room, and in the bedroom, but the little sneak still likes to sprawl on the sofa if he can get away with it.

It's quite funny; If I have my back to the sofa, like now, as I sit here typing, he'll sneak up onto the sofa.

When I turn round, he'll pull that "Oh, drat! You've caught me!" face. He then gets off and lays on his own bed.
