CAN YOU TELL SOMEONES AGE BY WHAT THEY WRITE

I don't know myself but you can usually tell if someone is annoying or not when they write in CAPS :P

and plus i would deffently say with your wit that you are late 20's

I would say that you are the same, late 20's, if not early 30's.. Im never good at these so don't be offended :help:

I'm not sure about this - perhaps if they're writing about particular events and such, thn obviously that will date people.

But in terms of general content, spelling, style, etc. I'm not sure whether you can determine age because some people can adopt different styles of writing to suit their audience and so confuse matters!

I don't see how anyone can guess someones age just by looking at their posts?

I'm 73, which i believe is clear from my posts.

I think the typical 'text speak' posts definately show a much younger person.

Maybe sometimes, but not always. I have been thought of as approx late 50s?

Which is incorrect may I add.

Its very hard to get an accurate age from someones postings.

I know alot of people have been surprised to find out my current age based on my postings elsewhere.

Yup, I think you can; people with poor English skills are usually people that are, perhaps sloppy and slapdash. However, I don't think you can tell a person's age purely from what they write.

It's funny, but 'poor English skills' vary quite alot too, so the style of poor English can tell quite alot about the poster!

How do you tell the difference between slapdash and rissoled?
