Have just been let down by the builder who was coming to put a lintel in my chimney breast.
Pete Shaw Building Services.
Anyone know a builder who's available at short notice to do a small amount of work. Can be done on the side if they don't run a business.

I may start a thread discussing what arseholes some customers can be.

I know this was a long time ago, but how is it not his fault.
We had an agreement for him to come and do the work, he didn't turn up and I had to phone him to find out why.
If the company I work for ran itself like that then we'd be out of business, and if I worked like that i'd be sacked. And what's more he didn't even have a credible excuse when I did phone him.
So I'll reiterate Pete Shaw building services don't bother to turn up when arranged.

Good for you Cyclone.
Customers should always come first.
Sheffield should adopt practices like ones run in one other town I know. There tradesmen register and are then recommended following intensive screening of standards of work as well as reliability.
This country gets worse...
