Easy...

Smoke a lot of Cubans. (The cigars... I don't mean go crazy with a gun in Havana)

Drink lots of bottles of Cristol.

Eat very expensive fish and chips.

Buy all my favourite films.

Find a hill high up and watch the world while listening to BNL's 'If i had a million dollars'.

Take a hundred out and spend it..put the rest in a cardboard box..Throw away the case..Then take the lot down to the police station los and found and tell them you found it...Then go back several weeks later and claim it. ( is this legal?)

hide it under the bed and work out a way to launder it so that it's not obvious that i found a million pounds.

difficult, you'd have to put it into your bank account gradually, £100/month or at most a couple of hundred.

You can't spend large chunks of cash, it gets thoroughly checked for money laundering reasons... I spose you could stop paying for things from your account and use cash for as much as possible...
Set up a few extra accounts and make regular payments into those as well....

go on a trip around europe and buy large sterling travellers cheques at many different places, then change them back to cash in the uk... doesn't help all that much actually.

well at 100 quid a month it would take about 1000 years to bank it all!

There will not be any obvious way of laundering it, because if there was then organised crime would be a lot easier than it is!

Banking it is not an option, you would need to use a safety deposit box. The main problem is spending it on large things such as a house, private jet, yacht. If you just want to own every CD in the world then you don't really have a problem.

Spend it.

I'd buy a car, loads of Xbox games and a big telly for my room... I'd use some of it to pay off Mum and Dad's mortgage, and also I'd buy myself top of the range 6Mb broadband, and then stick the leftovers in the bank and live off the interest.

I think a lot of people make the mistake that if they had a million pounds they would just live like they do now, but with a bit more of the things they spend their money on now.

It is possible to do that, but it is not as easy as it sounds. When you can afford just about anything it is easy for your whole outlook on life to change.

Actualy laundering is relatively easy if you know what checks are in the banks systems to detect it.. ; )

No I'm not telling!

If it was the case that a lot of people knew how to do that then surely lots of people who work for these banks would be offering their services to organised criminals.

ahhh, I see......so there are!!

I would take it straight down to the police, and hope that the person who had lost it was grateful enough to take pity on me, and leave me a few bits of loose change, just to show his appreciation to an honest Gentleman. :)

Buy a few amps (lol a few!) and all the guitars in foxes.

Give half of it to Jimmy Page to try and persuade him to teach me some guitar :P doubt I'll persuade him with that insignificant amount :(
