As a child in the 60s I remember going to the power station near Owlerton stadium Chrismas party.
It was run by the guys that worked there.
In later years during the late 70s I met the man who I was working with at the time who played Father Christmas at all those partys.
His name was Stan Whomesley and was a decent magician who came from the Heeley side of Sheffield.
Stan the magic man he was called.
Did anyone else know Stan the magic man or remember the partys at the power station 40 years ago.
