Do Hilsborough fencing just drop the stuff off or will they do the fencing for you?

I need 5 concrete posts
5 gravel boards
5 fence panels.

Anyone know a fencing company that have the materials and will make me a fence aaswell?

i had some fencing from greno fencing last year and they dropped it off at my front door and i had to carry the bugger around the back myself...
They just got back in their van and drove off!!

i think you have to pay extra to get it all fitted tho :thumbsup:

Yeah I would obviously pay extra as it is at least a days job. But it needs doing soon.

I was put in touch with them through Hillsborough Fencing. They erected over 100 feet of fencing for me last year and did an excellent job. I highly recommend them. If you give them a call, someone will come and give you an estimate.

thanks youi used these guys last summer... came out to see what i wanted on the tues... all fitted on the thurs... top job!
obviously payed extra for fixing etc but all done in a few hours..:thumbsup:

no they dont!!!!!!!, i did work for them untill a month ago!!!

They do do a lot of building site contracts but guarentee they do no pass on contracts or private jobs.

i love hillsborough fencing.
I ordered fencing for a 70foot by 25foot garden. turned up 3 days later.
then ordered decking for garden.
promt delivery and brilliant service. not over priced either. they delivered it on the garden, not on the road too.
not sure about putting the fence up we did it ourselves.

The lad who started Hillsborough Fencing used to go in The Beehive at Hillsborough,a good lad.They may not be the cheapest but you get what you pay for this day and age and when I have visited their stuff is all top notch.

My ex used to be a fencer and got his supplies from Hillsborough fencing for a while but they kept letting him down and were really off hand about it,they even moved premises with his fencing panel order without telling him so he had to track them down!I wouldnt use them,mind you this was a few years ago and he was a bit of a prat lol !:hihi:

HOW CAN ANYONE COME AND LOOK IF THEY FAILED TO SUPPLY AND FIT nothing will be there to see

you wont get better service than hillsboro fencing been around for at least 25 years and if you dont give good service you dont last that long
and to be honest you wont find a better selection of fencing in there yard anywhere else in Sheffield. and they do all there own fitting

ricky i am sorry u feel offended it is obvious u are an employee trying to pick points out of my post has shown this i meant to state that hillsbrough fencing failed to supply and fit PROPERLY the 3 gates and the fencing i purchased. Once the money had been paid by myself it was a different story. If you feel so strongly about hillsbrough fencing try and get some better fitters in rather than leaving it up to Tony the owner of county services to sort the mess out made by his cowboy fitters in the end gave me a partial refund which was the only good thing to come out of the whole affair

Have Used Hillborough Fencing Paid For A 2 Metre High Fence Was Put Up And Measured It Only To Find It Was A 1.8 Rang Up And Was Fobbed Off Until Took Reciept In Clearly Stating 2 Metre Height Was Offered Differance In Money But Declined Told Them To Put 2 Metre Up But Hillborough Fencing Said No. The Company They Used Were A Good Bunch Of Lads Could Not Fault The Fitting Just Not What I Had Paid For.

im sorry to disagree but i have used hillsborough fencing quite a few times for a 7 foot fence and a huge decking area.
we fitted everything ourselves but this company delivered on time, brilliant service, and not to over priced either.

I can tell you I have never worked for them. I have been a customer for approx 25 years from when they first started in premises near the Farfield pub. I can honestly state that apart from the usual hiccups that every company have hillsboro fencing have always been fair in all my dealings with them.
Of course EVERY COMPANY gets a complaint or two over the years and it is par for the course but generally hillsboro fencing are very good at what they do. you were probably unfortunately one of the few.
As I said at the beginning I have never worked for them

fair enough ricky understand what u r saying BUT ur posts would sujest to me u r an employee. if u are or not no concern of mine a few people have mocked them out of a possible few who have red this thread so is a little more than 1 or 2 un happy customers

i use them for all fencing jobs i do, only had one hiccup when a corner post didnt turn up, but after a phone call it came within a couple of hours.
have seen a job that the company they reccomend did, one word "joke"
but this was 2 years ago, so don't know if they use them now.
pm me if you want quote doing, use their fencing just charge for fitting.

I also use them for all my fencing jobs. Never had a problem, prompt delivery and good standard of product.

sorry to correct you ricky but they havent been there for 25 yrs, they havent even been trading as hillsborough fencing for 25 yrs. they used to be castle fencing and were based on greenland rd until they went bust and then became hillsborough fencing, i was with them before they went bust, and after they started back up as hillsborough, i used to train all their new lads up for site, most of who still work there, and yes they do use contractors as well as their own lads (county fencing) and yes pete gunning does still work there, i have now left (6yrs ago) and started my own company, yorkshirefencing.co.uk , we put all fences up ourselves and dont contract out at all, were cheaper and more reliable, we also make our own panels which we sell to the trade and public. please feel free to call us as you have nothing to lose. If you work for yourself putting up fencing, we can realy save you a lot of money. were in the yellow pages, fully insured, vat reg, and have a few good testimonials on s/f check for yourself

i've used hillsborough fencing for the last 7 years never had a problem with them but only had them drop the fencing off as i've always fitted it myself.
