But do you think that thecouncil are going to do anything about the leaves on ecclesall road??
I know it looks pretty and you can't exacly stop them falling off the trees but with this wet weather they are starting to rot and combine that with the water you are getting a extremly slippy pavement,

I was just walking along it 10 minutes ago and nearly went flat on my back- i wasn;'t alone either- i also saw quite a few people struggleing to walk because of slipping.

Don't be daft!! They won't clear the snow when that happens, so they are hardly going to clear leaves! i saw about 10 people fall flat between Pomona and Hunters Bar one evening last winter...

I had a right nightmare last year trying to walk down that hill between crosspool and broomhill in the ice. Ended up giving up on walking and just slid down on my arse.

You didn't say what evening and time this was, but I'd guess it was a Friday around midnight! And there was probably a buy one get one free offer on at the Pomona!!

Speaking of slippiness, have you tried walking outta that dodgy bar muse on west street when its raining - the bouncers just laugh their heads off as the drinkers deck it on that slippy slope

Where i used to live last year i ended up slipping on wet leaves walking down a hill... most embarrassing...

The leaves are bad over NE too... but saying that the council were round that way last week clearing them off the pavements... some men with brushes brushing them into the road whilst a couple more had blowers... making them go into the road so the road sweep could clear them...

Unfortunately leaves are a by-product of all the trees we all love so much. I would rather have the leaves eveywhere than no trees in the city.
You just have to live with them, or, do what I do, sweep them all up and chuck 'em on your compost heap.
