This is really bad news - I use Graves Park a lot with a dog off the lead and 3 kids in tow the last thing you need is a ****ing Moron on a bike.....

It really angers me when ASBO idiots behave so anti-socially!!!

I used to love going to parks when I was a kid, now I only take my cousens into fenced play areas and make sure they stay close on paths so I can grab them if any moron comes.

Scrap ASBOs and bring back corporal punishment. Maybe if little turds like this feared punishment they would think twice about such stupid behaviour.

The only reason behaviour like this becomes *normal* is because attitudes like yours allow it to become so.

It's a shame they no longer have the park ranger's on motorcycles. There was very little bother when they were patrolling the parks

This problem was quite bad in Graves Park last summer.
I spoke to someone at Woodseats Police Station about it. They said the mountain bike police officers were patrolling the park for several times a day. Which they were. I saw them. I also saw a group of lads zoom past them on their motorbikes one day. So as much as I respect the mountain bike police men (and think they look dead fit on their bikes) I don't think they have much chance of catching these idiots.

Tsk. We've had a problem with these idiots tearing up Black Bank all last summer. I thought Graves Park would be different because its in a nicer area, but clearly not :(
(I must admit though, even though its very annoying having them race around while you're walking the dog, they were quite careful around Gadget; so they're not complete bar stewards)

Doesn't matter what area you're in, the idiots are everywhere. Last year we were up Mam Tor and a couple of lads from Castleton came roaring up on dirt bikes - no helmets, T-shirts, spraying muck everywhere, destroying the peace, sending people and livestock scattering from paths.

SY Police have a policy of not chasing these bikers.
Don't want the little darlings to fall off, you know!

However, if you can get a photo or identify them in another way they will take action.

From time to time, if enough complaints are made, they will mount operations in specific areas to try and herd them in an enclosed area and catch them.

As futile as it may seem, please always report these incidents to 101. Otherwise the council & police will say that there is no record of a problem.

You should drop kick them in the face as the bike comes towards you. I saw it done in Van Damme film so it must be possible.

Phone 101 and make sure all these incidents are logged, that way the police know where the problems are focused and will concentrate their patrols there. If its not reported, its not a concern.
