View Full Version : Timber Fencing Companies
scott281178 03-04-2007, 15:04 Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a timber fencing company in Sheffield (for Wincobank area)?
Our rear garden desperately needs fencing. We basically want a 6ft high fence all around the garden (its not a massive garden), with concrete posts and gravel boards. A decking area with a balustrade rail, and a balustrade aross a small veranda.
Any ideas how much this would roughly cost? Cheers scott.

Contact Darren Clarke on 07894 987888. He has carried out extensive fencing, patio & decking work at my property and is reliable, punctual and very reasonably priced. E-mail address is DClarkefencing@aol.com

hillsborough fencings ok, but yorkshire fencing are cheaper and are the same quality if not better
honeyb35 24-09-2008, 18:30 we used ecclesfield fencing, they came, measured it, made it and fitted it within 2 days :)

outerlimits 24-09-2008, 20:18 Just noticed this looks like a very old post someone has revived from the depths of the forum!
I see this is quite and old post, does anyone have any more recent recomendations for fencing companies?

hagardriley 27-06-2011, 10:29 Try Brackenwood Fencing & Garden Solutions (formerly D. Clarke Fencing). They have done loads of work for me over the years and their work is always top class and reasonably priced.
You can contact Darren Clarke on 01629 810000 or 07894 987888. The website is at www.brackenwoodfencing.co.uk, e-mail brackenwoodfence@aol.com
Fabrino are cheaper than Yorkshire fencing. I have heavy duty double paling panels with wider slats of wood and narrower gaps and they were £1.50 per panel cheaper that YF. I live on the edge of Sheffield and Rotherham and delivery was £10.

Would'nt recommend Ecclesfield Fencing, we only had a gate fitted they made a right mess of it
would not recommend hillsborough fencing, we purchased vertilap weather panels and within 8 months they had all warped and had bid gaps where they overlap, 2 years on and they look horrid.
How much would it cost for a 70ft x 7ft paling fence (no gaps), wooden posts?

Paling fencing is a plank and a gap. Do you mean double paling so you can't see through the gaps?
Click on the link then scroll down to double paling.

I presume you know you need planning permission for fences of that height. Most panels are only 6 ft high for that reason.
I don't know what it's called then :help:
But I want the fence using the palings on a continuous post and 3 rail structure to go across the bottom of the back garden like the animation below:

Your picture looks like flat top vertilap to me but I don't know what the reverse side looks like. Hopefully someone will come along and put us right if we have got it wrong.
Just incase anyone is still looking for fencing recommendations, i ended up using http://www.adltimberproducts.co.uk after getting a recommendation from a friend. Can't fault him one bit, great service and fantastic quality fence!
