Please dont mention the one near the markets, its grim and awful
CorkerSWFC 03-04-2007, 09:21 theres one on division street
BasilRathbon 03-04-2007, 10:27 I may be stating the obvious, but don't all libraries in Sheffield have free web access these days?
The café at the Foundry climbing centre now has free wireless internet access.
alternageek 03-04-2007, 10:32 theres a coffee shop on the fargate that has free internet access (i dont know if that means its free if you buy a sammich n coffee or what). its right next door to the gregs and the carphone warehouse at the bottom of it.
sheffbag 03-04-2007, 10:44 dont have wifi thats the problem, im looking for somewhere with stationary pc's
Stockers 03-04-2007, 11:02 Bar Matrix has free internet (or it did about 2/3 years ago) and you can have a nice cuppa.
sheffbag 03-04-2007, 11:04 matrix is normally where i go (and it aint free) but they are having a minor re-fit so its closed at lunch for net access
Stockers 03-04-2007, 11:09 Oops, should have read the original post.
Bar Matrix had free internet access the last time i went in there, i always thought Sheffield could benefit from a nice internet cafe. Now there is an idea, one on Division St would go down a treat.
sheffbag 03-04-2007, 11:12 Havana was on divi st and it was really nice, i suppose with people using wifi now then perhaps internet cafe's will fade away
Stockers 03-04-2007, 11:15 Yes, wifi pretty much means if you've to a laptop you can log online. I'm sure I read somewhere Manchester city centre was going to have a free wireless connection.
When I went to Thailand about 4yrs ago the internet cafes over there were unbelievable. They were packed all hours of the day, mostly with locals playing each other at the online gaming.
