I'm being bombarded with emails which AVG is picking up as containing "price virus" What is it and can I stop them coming through?

Who is the "sender" of those emails? Is it a spammer or someone you know? If it appears to be someone you know, it's possible that someone has a virus which is just sending this email out to everyone in their address book.

Do you use an email client, such as Outlook or Outlook Express? You can set up mail rule so that those particular emails are deleted from the server without being downloaded to your email client.

thanks Ann* The sender is unknown to me and varies a little each time though jmbprice is common. I currently get one a day. I use Firefox. Presently I just delete and delete from trash q.

As it's a virus that been around for a few years, your antivirus should protect you.

As for the emails, if they have the same subject title, you can create a mail rule in Outlook or Outlook Express, where it will just delete from server.
