View Full Version : Destructive Psycho-Cat.
Jabberwocky 02-04-2007, 14:51 My cat, bLLLLLLLLLess his little heart, has used my 150 quid leather coat as a scratching post.
I didnt notice it at first because its been a while since I wore it, but I was moving it upstairs today when my other half noticed the claw marks on it.
Now, I COULD skin the little sod and use his hide to patch the coat up, or I could try to forget the damage, its not TOO bad, and the coat could still be used, although not worn for a best coat, just something to mess around in.
What would you do? Have a years supply of black and white chamois leathers, put it down to having a loony feline, or would you sell him for scientific experimentation to make up the cost of the damage?

Ahhh, that's sooooooo sweet.
Jabberwocky 02-04-2007, 14:56 I intend to have his heart blessed, as soon as I catch up with him and tear it out.
I guess it's another sacrifice to the love we have for our feline friends. Sorry Jabbers!
Jabberwocky 02-04-2007, 14:59 The thing is, I wanted a long leather coat for years, since about 1980 and I never could afford it.
I finally got one in.... November , I think it was, and the little swines trashed it!
shihtzumad 02-04-2007, 15:03 u wasn't ment to have it...... he might not have liked you in it
Jabberwocky 02-04-2007, 15:04 I gave him a damn good telling off!

Poor chin :shakes:
 jabbers...
He loves you! Look at his little face!
I do understand what you mean though - I came very close to a nervous breakdown when I couldn't stop my cat working out how to get into my room and she demolished the new decorating.
The things we do for our animals, eh?

Well I must admit that his litter tray used to stink like my armpits.
TattyBear 02-04-2007, 16:05 I bet he was thinking:
'here, let me save you from the shame of having to wear it, plus I dont want anyone to see you with me wearing that!'
lol.
Jabberwocky 02-04-2007, 16:06 Its a lovely coat! Be good or Ill post a pic of me in it...
God I can get nasty at times cant I? :D
TattyBear 02-04-2007, 16:13 Lol, obviously not your cats cup of tea though.
Jabberwocky 02-04-2007, 16:15 The damn animal hates me! I feed him, let him in and out of the house, look after him like a baby and he treats me like this!
Hes worse than a woman!
*Jabberwock legs it*
TattyBear 02-04-2007, 16:17 He is obviously leader of the pack in your house! lol
I intend to have his heart blessed, as soon as I catch up with him and tear it out.
Ouch! You are obviously a big softie underneath that cool exterior, Jabbers. I never thought you had that side to you...
We made the big mistake of buying our first leather sofa the week after the mad maine coon and the nutty norwegian forest cat kittens arrived in 2003. OOPS. Big mistake. Good job I am not too fussy and besides, you cant see the scrtaches for the muddy paw prints the daft doberman leaves all over it.
My gorgeous leather jacket was consigned to the charity shop after one of the furry gits used it as a climbing frame and I lost a handbag to the same unidentified fiend. Our barmy bengal likes to scale the venetian blinds every now and then - he's chewed the blind cords and bitten the wooden tops off them. And I'm used to coming home to find him in one ofthe wardrobes with my best blouses all removed from their hangers and crumpled up on the floor. Bless... Little b*gger.
Jabberwocky 02-04-2007, 19:27 No.
Really.
Under this squashy exterior lives a man of iron. A cold-hearted killing machine who has been bred for the hunt and the kill.
God I just broke a nail.

He loves you really, so much so he wanted to customise your best coat!
jenniflower 02-04-2007, 20:27 The cat is clearly jealous of the coat. You love the coat. The cat destroys the coat. Now you can love the cat more. It's a compliment from your cat.
Moonbird 02-04-2007, 21:04 A few years ago (well lots actually) i came home and instead of hanging up my brand new coat i slung it over the chair while i went to make a cuppa, came back to find not only had the hamster dragged it into his cage through the bars, but he had eaten a huge chunk out of it, and nibbled other bits , it was fit only for the bin
So i do sympathise with the horror you must have felt with finding the vandalism so carelessly inflicted on your coat Jabbers :hihi:
Poor chin :shakes:
Probably more like a very happy "Chin'"
It's a very lovely coat your little kittie has. I think you'd be better having it as a rug at home. If those "animal extemists" see you with reaaal fur on your coat, they may spray paint it or something. That'd be such a waste of a good pelt!:hihi:
