i dont think there has been a good scary film for years. its more `pump up the music to make you jump' then anything really scary :0(

although ive seen truck loads of films... i have still not seen exorcist...just doesnt take my fancy. so i doubt i will see this one either. i prefer leslie neilson in repossessed :0) haha class

Watch out for 'The Grudge' it has recieved some top reviews and looks scary as hell! It is produced by the Japanese too which helps as we all know they make the scariest films ever anyway!

I agree, it isn't really that scary - although more watchable than the critics suggested. However, I can confirm that House of the Dead is absolutely rank!

I would be intrested to see what people do think is the scariest film ever. I think at the time Evil dead was the scariest flim I ever saw but not realy found one since.

I thought 'the evil dead' was a comedy (all three of them ;) ). I've not seen any really scary films. I saw 'the grudge' couple of day ago that was scary but probably not the scariest.

This was a load of rubbish. I actually gave up on the film about 2/3 of the way through.

House of a thousand corpses... pretty sick film all in all. I love horror but this one was just grisly and I can't say I enjoyed it.
Bit like Dog Soldiers, lots of gore but very little story to scare you.
I love Stephen Kings Rose Red and The Haunting. Not truly amazing films but very watchable and with some great film devices.
