How about 'Over-priced pile of bricks?'

Not our house, but I always loved John Peels name for his home 'Peel Acres'
When I was young, my mum and dad had a 'static' caravan in north yorks, fenced off and signed 'Rainbows End':gag: :gag: :gag:

I've never really thought of giving my house a name but two of my cars were called Tank and Silver Lady. I suppose it could be called the 'Bear-pit' but that's only because when I'm woken up I'm a grumpy old bear or so I've been told.

A mate of mine bought one his wife chose and christened it "thas dun naa" The locals had no idea what it meant.

Our house was always called Ponderosa. That's because we are the Cartwrights. Way back when we were the only Cartwrights in the phone book people kept calling and asking for Ben. Or is Little Joe coming out to play. You'd have to remember watching Bonanza on TV back in the 60's to know who the Cartwrights are. In Sheffield people thought that was funny.

A bit extreme to move to the US though Funke, just to get closer to hop sing and his cooking I suppose ;)

Not meaning to nit-pick here, but I thought John Peel's house was called 'Peel Acres'.

We had a sign on our old house that simply said

The Madhouse!

Suited us perfectly!!

I knocked on the door of a terraced house in a dodgy part of widnes once to see what kind of muppet had called the place "honeypot cottage".

Of course he was bloody huge and typically agressive so I made some excuse about having the wrong place and legged it without asking!

Would name mine after my fave programme as a kid
'Dark Towers' simply because it's old, overgrown and er...dark

In an ideal world I would live in a cottage of sorts in a lovely olde-worlde village and my place would be called 'willow cottage'. As it stands I don't live in a lovely village or cottage for that matter. It's 'our house' in a non-descript street in a non-descript suburb - ah well...
