Just for the benefit of anyone contemplating what to do over Easter, there is a race meeting at Pontefract on Easter Tuesday which should be very popular. I can't recall this fixture falling at Easter before.
Very easy to get to by car, either M1 to M62 eastbound or up the A1. It is a very good viewing course, laid out in Pontefract Park where there is a children's playground.
