He is a very poorly little puppy.

He has a temperature of 105. He deteriorated very quickly from four this morning and could barely move this morning.

He has been given lots of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.

So send my baby healing vibes, he is such a little boy and so lovely.

I hate him suffering.

I hope he is better very soon.

Are you managing to get water into him?

We used a syringe with Jynx when she was poorly and squirted water into her mouth.

So if he was an adult male, would it be a 'man cold'?

When did he start the antibiotics, is he starting to improve.

Puppies like kids go downhill fast but also recover very fast.

Bless him..... sending him loads of love and healing vibes, wishing petie a quick recovery.

Please keep us informed Olliekitten

When tia was a puppy she had the same, but vet said she had pnemiona, i was gutted, and very upset, i was advised to get plenty of tea down her aswell as antibotics. Don't ask me why TEA, but you try anything to make them better again. X X X X X X X To petie

I've been and snuggled Petie (and taken Bailey out for a big walk to allow him some time to sleep in peace) today- and he's obviously feeling a bit sorry for himself.

Poor little man.

I took him to the vet first thing and he described it as an upper airway infection with a possible secondary infection that could have been viral-related from a lingering previous problem. The injection he got then hadn't really picked him up when olliekitten got home at 4ish, so she took him back. Then he had a steroid injection as they weren't really happy with his condition.

He does seem a fair bit better and is wandering round with the occasional tail-wag, albeit still with a rather glazed expression. His breathing is still a little wheezy, so it will just take some time to get over that I guess.

So we'll keep an eye on him, but at least things are moving in the right direction.

So far he seems much brighter - I think he had a little bit of food earlier, and has at least half a spring back in his step.

The worrying thing is that Bailey is now starting to sound like he's picking something up and has coughed a few times. Hopefully with being a lot bigger he'll shake it off himself, as we can't take him to the vet until Monday (unless it's a real emergency of course).

As far as I know stagewalker is fine - perhaps he's been on his sickbed and too ill to let us know! :)

Rich and Purdy, I took to my bed in sympathy with my namesake. I was both weak and yet poor, but, like Petie Puddle, I too am now feeling much brighter.

I too managed to lick my own nuts this morning!

How's that for an improvement?
