Sorry to learn of the death of Sheffeld golf professional, Richard Bennett, who has sadly died at the age of 63, following a fall at a restaurant.
Richard has spent much his working life on the golf scene, particularly when he owned the Arnold Palmer Driving Range at Bradway. He has coached and tutored many aspiring golfers in Sheffield and will be missed by many on the Sheffield sporting scene.

Yes, a very sad day last Sunday when me & the wife found out from Lee at the range.He taught my wife to play last year(he must have been good;) :D ) .Nice bloke indeed alround.Will be sorely missed by many.Thoughts go out to his family.

Thanks for that information which I passed on to my pal - knew Richard like yourself from lessons - and he was able to go. Reported a fair turn out but a little disappointed given the people Richard must have known in the city.

I worked at Moor View Golf Centre formally Arnold Palmers and Richard helped me with my golf and he would always stop and ask how you were getting on.

Thoughts are with his family at this time
