It is often said that most people go out at the end of the month in line with their monthly payday. I have been wondering about this........Why does everyone seem to go out the last weekend of each month, which DOES coincide with most paydays I would imagine. The fact that they then dont seem to go out (town is always much quieter other weekends) until the end of the following month also suggests they spend all their money as soon as they get it, and have nothing left for the other 3/4 weekends of the month.
Enlighten me......theories of binge drinking welcome...

I don't think it's that. I think it's a kind of celebration of payday. Most people work mainly for the dosh (and not the love of heir work - me included). So come the end of the month, when the bank account is well stocked, why not go out and be irresponsible and and have a good time? If people are gonna have one major sesh a month, it makes sense to do it on payday...

That makes sense, a "celebration of payday". I can see the logic in that. But the people I know seem to spend ALL their pay in one weekend.....now that I cant quite see the logic in...
