Have Yorkshire Bank changed the computer software that operates their cash machines?

I know the ones in Firth Park were upgraded from those clunky green screen efforts to those colourful LCD jobbies a few months ago

Not the actual machines but the software. The display has been transformed and the process has changed slightly of how you obtain your money.

I have been finding that the machines are slower than ever and often giving out conflicting messages.

Yorkshire bank are in the process of up-grading all their machines, this apparently is because of the new chip and pin technology or so they say. The screen layout is different and if the sun is shining on the screen what was a month ago difficult to read is now impossible. They also seem to have incorporated some advertisments for the bank which is shown on the screen when it is not being used or is processing your transaction. I've only ever seen the screens like an old word processor green with light green print, are there actually better machines out there with better contrast? Wait till I go into my bank again because they told me all their machines are green background and green print.
