help required....because we have over 2000 free mins between us on our moble phones i decided to make the land line incomming calls only..i rang telewest up and they gave me a code to dial into my phone which bans out going calls,they said its easy to get the call barring lifted just get another code from them and its back to normal..........now here's where the trouble starts,like i div i didn't realise doing this would cut off my daughters internet access upstairs.....and because i can't dial out i can't ring telewest and get the unblocking code...does anyone know it or could someone dial 150 or 151 and get it for me.....its a free call but my mobile won't reconise the number..thanks:thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: our young'ns got a right face on with me:mad: :(

telewst broadband doesn't work from a phone line

when we had call barring on our landline,
it used to let 0800 numbers through the barring,
you could also ring BT up too!!

BT wouldn't help..that would be like ringing AA and asking the for the RAC's number..some how i think they'd tell you to swivel

To cancel outgoing call barring:

Keys: # 3 4
Then Call barring Option Code, followed by *
Then key in your password, followed by #


However, dialling 150 should still get you through to CS though as we had CB on our line and were still able to get through to TWCS without a problem.

BTW. Call barring in Sheffield with TW isn't the same as in other areas. You do not get the facility to type in a code to temporarily unlock a number. We had call barring, and were unable to do a temp unblock so we cancelled the service.

Can you not email them through the TW website?

was just stating that we could when call barring was on

try ringing 0845 142 0000

if that is not the right place, they will be able to give you right number
