Do they sell dog crates bit enough for a fully grown male labrador to stay in during the day?
My cousin has found a labrador she would like to rehome. The current owner has admitted he chews really bad. I suggested crate training him (i dont know much about it) but then I thought.............do they do them big enough?
She is under no illusion about how hard it will be re-training a 7month old but other than this problem he is a brilliant dog and would like to give him the chance!
Any advice welcome x

I've seen a crate as big as a small shed! A friend has two sibes which occasionally drag one around the house ;)
Size shouldn't be a problem, cost maybe a problem.

That would be me- the big one I have is about 27inches wide x 41 inches long - cant get it unfolded in the cellar to check the height yet but it was sold as being suitable for bigger breeds such as Dobe, lab, boxer, collie. It may or may not be going on short term loan for a couple of weeks or so to a fellow SF'er with a poorly cat, depends if the slightly smaller (car) one is any good to her or not.

I got one from a website (unfortunately can't remember the link) that is 46 inches long... (its for the rabbit :P) so yeah, they definately sell them big enough if you're willing to hand over the money. Mine cost £80 with delivery.
well I have one I can loan to the poorly cat, or Rainrescue can usually lend one in such circumstances. I just need my disinfectant back from Adz before I can loan it out ;)
the smaller one has gone out on loan, so I still have the bigger one for sale - its a big sturdy one with a galvanised tray - not flimsy xK
Sorry Strix can i drop it round tom wanted to do it today but ended up with no time
I have a rain rescue crate and they do very large ones and reasonably priced
My son has a large dog crate which he would sell, apporox £25-£30

Thanks for your replies. She is collecting him tomorrow and going to see how she goes on for a couple of days. If he needs a cage she is going to let me know :)
