Whats it like if you go upt Wybourn? What pubs, people & places should I go to & avoid going to? It used to have a bad reputation but heard things are different. Is it like Pitsmoore or Burngreave?

Also of course there is the obligatory cigarette which must be smoked at all times. Some popular public houses in the area include: The Pit Bull and Flick Knife The Crack Dealer's Arms The Dew Stumble Inn Please be aware that all the above pubs have bouncers on the door who will conduct intimate body searches for drugs. Anyone found not to be carrying any will be obliged (at gun point) to purchase some from the aforesaid bouncers. :hihi: kirky 29-10-2004, 14:43 Originally posted by Tim42 Whats it like if you go upt Wybourn? Pete1024 29-10-2004, 17:23 OK its worse than pittsmoor. Even the police are afraid of wybourn carcrash 29-10-2004, 22:20 Most of the pubs in pitsmoor are great. Dj_Shadowman 17-01-2005, 11:57 I used to live bang opposite the Windsor pub...was funny watching all the pi**heads arguing outside the takeaway.....it kept the kids amused at least !!! begood 04-01-2011, 04:47 Lived on the Wybourn all of 16 years , at the top of Whites Lane, near Harrys Chip shop, went to the pubs there and the companionship and buisness conducted there was great, everyboby trying to help each other, ( 1946 - 1962) left lived in intake then came out to Zimbabwe ( Rhodesia in those days) so I really enjoyed The Wybourn, and believe it or not my home in Zim is called Wybourn. kevin johnso 11-01-2011, 11:55 First all the people who ' knock ' the Wybourn estate please dont !!.....It's not the estate it's the ' new ' cretins and ' I ams ' that live on there currently , I will defend the Wybourn until the day I die .....ya dont like it ...~~ck off ....But you will find if ya NOT an arsehole and a ' big I am ' you will be fine ......Cheers job done here ..... kinkykat25 11-01-2011, 21:12 Agreed - Wybourn is not as bad as some places I have lived!! Lived on Maltravers Road most of my life and my family still do, If I was to move again would look to buy a house on there! There is nothing wrong with the people, there is good an bad everywhere. its a place that will look after you if you look after it - and I dont meen in the bad way. I will also defend Wybourn - End rant hehehe :) sr1sag 16-01-2011, 14:24 I lived on the Wybourn for years and totally agreewith this post, its the new breed that cause any issues. My mum still lives on Manor Oaks Roads and she wouldn't move off of the Wybourn. I've had more hassle in pubs around town and on Eccy Road than i've ever had in pubs on Wybourn and even when i used to drink around Park Hill (Parkway and Trades and Labour) Really good friendly types but go in there showing off and someone will pull you up about it and tell you to keep it down. In my book thats how it should be. First all the people who ' knock ' the Wybourn estate please dont !!.....It's not the estate it's the ' new ' cretins and ' I ams ' that live on there currently , I will defend the Wybourn until the day I die .....ya dont like it ...~~ck off ....But you will find if ya NOT an arsehole and a ' big I am ' you will be fine ......Cheers job done here ..... sr1sag 16-01-2011, 14:30 To give you some advice on pubs, i actually prefer Manor Castle, Trades and Labour WMC or The New Inn. Non of which are actually classed as wybourn but all very close. If you want a pub on Wybourn the Wybourn is my fave or used to be when i lived that way. Whats it like if you go upt Wybourn?
