Right. We all do it. Going to the pub for a few cheeky drinks at lunchtime now and then *ahem* *cough*, not everyday you understand.

As it's Friday I've just popped in the Red Lion in town and had a couple of pleasant pints. Now this was lovely. The downside is I'm back at my desk (working hard as you can see) and I feel soooo lethargic and tired. I know I'll do the same next week, but right now, I just wanna sleep.

I guess what I'm asking is, who goes for a lunchtime tipple and how do you feel when you get back to work?

You need to drink more at lunch, one more pint and a chaser brings you round for the afternoon...

As much as I love a drink in the evening, I hate drinking during the day. To be blunt, it makes me feel like s***.

Just dont go back after lunch next friday, and drink yourself to sleep, you will realise that you no longer need (or allowed) back to work, then the streets seem to be quite an apealing place of rest. When you dont mind sleeping rough, cheap cider is a good alternative to a pint, saving you lots of pennies for the life ahead.

You can also get takeaway 'lite' in this lifestyle. Its found in canister type things near by to a takeaway. You get the same food, just less of it and cold, but heh! its free!

Same here sidla. I can be found in the pub in the evenings, but NEVER in the day:gag:

Me? I love lunchtime drinking. The only downside is that lunchtime isn't always long enough - four o'clock can arrive before you know it.

So I propose that we extend the term 'lunchtime' so that it includes all the bits between morning and evening and that we dedicate this newly appointed slot to drinking.

Just don't let the boss smell your breath
Under H & S rules we are suppose to send anyone home who has been drinking !!!

I have learnt from bitter experience that daytime drinking is rarely a good idea.

I went to a christening last week and had two glasses of wine - the room was spinning and I felt very woozy. Went home for a sleep and and woke up two hours later with a hangover!

Now I'm not usually so much of a lightweight and can keep up with the best of em but something about alcohol in the day just doesn't sit right with me. And it's even worse if you have to go back to work.

Yeah, daytime drinking is a bad idea... wouldn't catch me doing it, it always leads to trouble, but i learnt from lager experience.

I prefer to stay home with my whisper quiet juicer and make myself some healthy smoothies... it's the way to go.

I must make it clear that my philosphy about daytime drinking is for leisure days only.
