Has anyone by any chance bought a baby car seat for a ford fiesta (N reg) lately? My friend is looking for a new one, but can't find one to fit. I also need to by one for my VW Polo (R reg). Does anyone have any suggestions for either car?
Yes. Try putting this in the wanted section, it will get seen more often. PM a moderator and they should do it for you.;)

In what way do they not fit? I've had 4 different car seats, and they have fit fine in my Skoda, Cavalier, Polo (D reg) and Fiesta!
The seats belts are too short on the fiesta I think. What kind of car seats do you have and are you happy with them?

If you go to the Britax website, www.britax.co.uk and enter the make of car you have, it will tell you which of their car seats will fit the best.
Hope this helps
Kate
The Britax car seats (which have a reputation for being the safest from most tests) have 2 different ways of being strapped in which should mean they fit any car.

I agree ... BRITAX are the only car seats I will entertain, as they seem to fit in every car I have ever owned ! Plus , they are so easy to fit ...

Seat belts too short? Have you tried winding them out very slowly, seat belts are usually quite long in most cars but pull them too quickly and they will stop dead. This is what they are designed to do.
I had this problem with my fiesta (N) and that's why I ended up getting rid, the seatbelts are made in such a way that the buckle rests on the car seat base and could shatter in an accident. I believe Mothercare make one that fits, but literally only just, is it for a baby or a child?
