According to the link below, Iceland is the happiest country on Earth.

Do you agree with that?

UK comes in a miserable 10th place. :o

Without even looking at the link I'd like to bet that Iceland moved up the table rapidly when they gave Bjourk her own island to live and caterwaul on!!!

Just looking on the map of the UK on that site, Sheffield is not on the map.

There's all the other major cities and a few minor ones but no Sheffield... aren't we like the 5th largest city???

Sheffield is never on any map of the UK generally, why is this?

Sheffield tends to fall into the 'yorkshire triangle' - if you draw a triangle on the map with nottingham, manchester and leeds at its 3 points then things in that triangle have a strange habbit od mysteriously dissapearing!

Just a pity that some places in the "triangle" haven't disappeared. ;-)

It all depends how you define the word 'happy'. If you mean the general populace of the country with the highest percentage of people who find inner calm and solace, then we must come at the end of the list.

On the other hand, if you mean the people who inhabit the country who really know how to party and enjoy themselves - it just has to be us.

No-one can take that away from us.

Urm, how come
88% of Switzerland have AIDs (http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/lif_und_nei_peo_wit_aid-lifestyle-undesirable-neighbours-people-aids)?

And I never knew 69% of Japanese are homosexual (http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/lif_und_nei_hom-lifestyle-undesirable-neighbours-homosexuals)?

Maybe they're happy because they're so easily pleased? (http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/env_fer_con-environment-fertiliser-consumption)
