Re-release for christmas i hear.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

yes its on behalf of john peel (r.i.p.) but im just hoping that its not re-recorded by BUSTED who i saw perform it last year on some program.

I think there should be a tribute concert where fergul sharkey gets back on stage wiv the undertones and does the song live and then release that.

anyways... its new favourate for christmas number one.

gud song, great man.....please dont cheapen it all by getting someone to cover it !!!!!!!!!!!!

It's going to be the original I think. I hear that bookies have stopped taking bets on Band Aid 2004 to be Christmas number 1 this year, however, if Radio 1 really champion Teenage Kicks, I think it's highly likely it could get there.

Teenage Kicks is among my favourite records... I think anyone who dares record a cover of it ought to be imprisoned for a very long time!

Seconded, with feeling - especially if it's Busted!

But it would be wonderful if the Undertones reached no.1 at Christmas with it. It would be a fitting tribute to Peely. Here's hoping.

I would love it to get to No.1... but I think the new Band Aid one could be good too. I liked the original Band Aid, and if the stars being rumoured are going to take part in the new one then it sounds like it will be a vast improvement on the second one with Kylie and Cliff etc :gag:

band aid should leave well alone... if your going to do something then do something new!!

or at least get every1 back from the original. (they are all still alive) and let them sing it.

record something new midge!! (what a name) and then release that. i dont like who is involved so far in the band aid 3.. seems pretty rubbishy.

i like teenage kicks song...but lets hope the money from it goes somewhere worthwhile and not into some bigwigs pocket.

the streets have done a version????? oh no please no!!! there own stuff is bad enough!!!. argh!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree. Didn't the record industry learn anything from Madonna's 'American Pie'?
