first of all this post isnt an attempt to belittle all the good work cancer research and all the other bodys do. i recently heard a chap on a breakfast tv chat programme making a point about that one day a cure for cancer will be found, his point was that all the worlds goverments dont realy want acure. what is general point was that the worlds population would triple and cause utter chaos , ie starvation, massive movement of populations. i lost both my parents to cancer and have done various charity work to raise money, but why does cancer research have to struggle so much to raise money when you see the goverment throwing money at pointless wars and other mony wasting ideas. does this chap have a point?.

I dont go along with the claim that goverments dont want to cure this awful disease,im sure that everyone wants to rid the world of cancer.
It seems that bit by bit the scientists are getting more and more of an understanding of this disease and it will get to the stage when a cure is found and it wont be a minute too soon.

well my personal belief on cancer is that its an evolutionary process, at a very primitive level there is such thing as inheritance and selection... at the end of the day there has to be some way to make sure bad gene's are not carried onto future generations and I personally believe that cancer might be one of those things...

hence why it appears that the age at which cancer is striking is getting younger in people, but I havn't found statistics to prove that yet...

but y'know, the more we find cures the more the world is over-run, almost every inhabited country is severly over populated now, somehow were going to have to find a way to keep the numbers down if were going to keep breeding as we do and curing more and more diseases and organ failures.

What about vitamin B17?
Why are Apricot kernals banned by the FDA and why can't you buy them over here?
What about Essiac?
What about the nations who don't suffer from cancer?
I am not saying that these things are cures but much evidence exists to prove their benefits.
YOU CAN'T PATENT SOMETHING NATURAL.
Thats the problem, no money in it.
Sad but true.

There is no nation on Earth that doesn't suffer form cancer, as far as I know.

As for Apricot kernels / Laetrile / B17 the jury is very much out on whether it's of any use at all - in my opinion, based on published studies, I'd rather go for Chemo than chance my arm with this stuff. Of course, given that it actually contains or metabolises to cyanide one would expect some effects on healthy as well as cancer cells.

Anyway, check out :

Cancer happens when the natural control systems in cells get knocked out of kilter and just put the cells in to an uncontrolled growth spurt - sort of anti-social cells. Many people die with cancer - not OF cancer - but with cells in their body showing cancerous changes. A classic example is prostate cancer - many men die with prostate cancer but the prostate cancer itself isn't what kills them.

I believe that cancer won't ever be 'cured' because you're dealing with essentially 'normal' processes of cells. You might manage to reduce the incidence of it, but it'll still be a killer.

The jury is very much out as nobody with the power to do comprensive research is likely to do it.

Take a look at that link - people have been doing studies since the 1940s.

Would still be nice to be given the option.
