There was an article in the Green Un on Saturday about the lack of funding that fishing gets from UK sport in relation to its numbers of participants, relative to other sports. In short there is no funding.
It was a very good piece and a good arguement.

Did it mention that we're the current world men's match fishing champions or that we've won the ladies title for 3 out of the last 4 years?
Did it mention the "pastimes" that get more money than angling? Things like pilates, orienteering.
That's why I don't go on the Lottery. When my pastime gets a proper share of the available cash, I'll have a go.
