View Full Version : Why are so many people so judgemental?

I haven't been on this forum long but have noticed a number of threads started on one subject quickly revert into a bashing of some sub-group within the city. Students, unemployed, different races, different religions, people from different cities all seem to get blamed for a lot of what goes on round here. Not all people that have been lumped in categories are the same. They will not look the same and they will not act the same. Does it never occur to some people here that it may be individuals who are responsible for problems, from a variety of different groups, including the good ol' born and bred Sheffielders?

These judgmental comments are peoples views on an indvidual subject.

Last i heard a forum was there to express views!

The only thing I don't like on here it how EVERYONE jumps at the chance to blame everything on "chavs/scroates".

1- You don't know what it's like to be in their shoes in this day and age
2- It's not always their fault, whoever "they" are
3- Grow up

Bus Drivers on the other hand deserve all the stick they get

That's another one though, people assuming that everyone who dresses in a certain way like the typical 'chav' will act in the same way.

I'm afraid alot of people on here, like most places, have very closed minds on alot of things. Chavs being one of them. Get's on my nerves.

I'm just really surprised how many threads start off innocently on a genuine subject but within a few posts have changed to a persecution of one, or more categories of people based on assumptions.

Chavs deserve all the abuse they get on the forum, bunch of idle, scrounging, foul-mouthed, acne-ridden, trouble-causing, cheapo-jewellery wearing, useless smoking monkey's in reject clothes!!
They are total social mis-fits who do nothing to help themselves other than get p***ed in parks and hurl obscenities at everyone.

in a word - gits!.

Or they're just people who've had different experiences and influences to you that may act a certain way in a group from peer pressure. If they were alone you'd probably see a completely different side to a lot of them.

Welcome to the Sheffield Forum! Yup there is a lot of prejudice happening here. Don't take it all too seriously though. If you dig through all the bickering you'll find a lot of genuinely friendly people that have a lot of interesting things to say. I have learned a lot from this forum and it's always interesting to here peoples views on things, even if I don't agree with them. I've found that most internet forums have the same kind of bickering going on. Stick with it though and you'll soon find that it's not all silly arguments.

Actually, they are probably better behaved when in a group cos they will just sit on a wall and get drunk and shout every so often at someone.
Whereas when alone it's a different matter - you'll hear a drunk voice shouting down the street at 1am swearing that he loves Shazza! and wants her to leave Brian and come back to him cos their 7 kids need a mother!! (benefits).

You don't see them alone, the only time they ever split up isto give themselves a better chance of hidng form the coppers after they have mugged some old lady for her pension.

Who's to blame for these drop out's?

Why are you not one... Why am i not one?

Everything has its reasoning behind it... No one is born a drop out

Is it the parents... Is it they got in with the wrong crowd?

I do agree tho people shouldnt judge...

A few years back now this guy came into my work place for an interview... long hair biker type...

My first impression... Junkie... Low life... Rough kinda guy... Dont mess!

How wrong could i have been... this guy got the job... we became really good mates...

He had a heart of gold so down to earth... T total... Hated drugs with a passion... the only thing i was right on was the bike  well... he had the long hair and leathers on ;) it kinda gave it away hehehehehe... oh and the crash helmet

We should have a ScroteCatcher van that goes around picking up no-marks of either sex and forcibly sterilising them. Then we can look at ways of barcoding their existing offspring at birth, perhaps by inserting a microchip condemning them to lifelong expatriation to Wales.

Maybe we should be even more radical than that. You know those laboratories where evil scientists routinely scalpel the eyelids off kittens for fun? Let's get them to come up with a kind of Myxomatosis for scrotes. A deadly disease only transmitted through polyester sportswear, microwave chips and tin jewellery.

Let's face it. You'd only have to plant the bug on a Post Office counter on a Thursday morning and the problem would be solved.

Does annoy me with these kinda people around... why should we be working our butts off to support them...

I guess its what they call an 'easy life'... Aint no such words...

The people who are saying that society or parents are to blame are blind to what is happening here.

If you want to go out and get drunk in a park thats your choice. I don't force the little s**ts who stand outside my local intimdating every1 to do it. I actively discourage them, however they chosse to carry on............. their choice!

Of course they only have themselves to blame. I couldn't agree with Lestat more! I also think that the Nomark detector vans are a great idea.

People make there choices and should live with them!

Looks like it.
Great stuff.

The Answer....
Two years of National Service, served at the age of 18, would instil the kind of moral framework that we've sadly failed to provide for our kids.

And it would get them fit as well. No more whining about obesity costing the NHS dear. Just some ex-scrote tackling the obstacle course every morning, rather than worrying about where the money for the Argos gold chain is coming from, how many headlights to stick on their "gangsta" Vauhall Astra or how loud to play their indecipherable boom boom music while cruising past the chip shop.

And another thing. While the nation's young manhood is banged up in Catterick barracks, they'll not be out impregnating 14-year-old slappers with pierced belly buttons, badly-drawn tattoos and a council-funded career in baby-production.

"Oh, " I hear poor Tarquin cry. "What about my gap year travelling around Australia and my university degree? I've got four As at A-level, you know."

Listen you snivelling little middle-class ponce. Everyone has got four As at A-level. Even the Welsh. What's the point in sending you to "university" (aka Gasworks Tech) when all you're going to do is get a pointless degree in Media Studies followed by a £5-an-hour job in a call centre selling mobile phone ringtones to people with no taste? Or brains.

And "gap year"? I don't think many of the D-Day vets had a gap year. And if they did, they spent it huddling in the bottom of a shell hole while the Nazis tried to kill them. You couldn't even find Normandy on a map if your JobSeeker's Allowance depended on it. Now get out on that parade ground and paint some coal.

(And another thing. Why not make National Service part of the immigration process too? That'd sort the committed arrivals out from the "here for an easy touch brigade" in one fell swoop. "No problem, pal. We've got your council flat in Peckham already booked in, and it'll be ready for you just after you come back down from your two years peeling potatoes in Aldershot.")

Not sure how you think that would help. Within 1 year of leaving the army 3 of my ex-army mates were back in nick for various offences. They were criminals before they went in and were when they left. Not sure if anyone has told you but being qualified to kill people isn't a highly sought after trade in the real world and I found it extremely difficult to get a job when I left. And no ammount of waving an "exemplary" record in front of people would convince them you were worth a shot.

So all this National Service crap that is repeateldy wheeled out by old and young alike is just that. Crap.

I'd have it down at Don Valley on a Sunday afternoon.Hot dogs and burgers, hang a criminal. Smashing.
I dont mind saying that i think we'd get some decent attendances aswell.

A bit like when kids were once told "the bogey man'll get yer" people would be able to take their nippers down and say dont behave and the hangman'll get yer.
Aye. Magic.

I'd empty our overflowing prisons pretty soon.

"Bring him in, whats he down for?"
"battered an old lass to death for drug money"
"Right take him out and shoot him. Next!"

"Well the next case is a footballer Mr Tross. Accused of battering someone to within an inch of his life. The teeth marks on the victims face match the accuseds and the DNA says theres only a 1 in 6 million chance the saliva wasnt his."
"hmm.Any previous?"

"Ok Set the hounds on him."

Albert dear, maybe you'd like to organise a scrote-smashing contest in the Roman arena stylee. Bit like Christians and lions, but perhaps Neds, druggies and teenage mums versus big diggers? I think you'd find the exercise therapeutic, and maybe you'd get to meet somebody famous too. If you go for the obvious choice of compere and employ Jeremy Clarkson, that is. Or Davina McColl. You'd make a bit of money, too.

I hate daily mail readers.

I hate George Bush voters.

I hate iraq war apologists.

I hate anyone working at large corporations.

I hate noisy people.

I hate smelly people.

I hate people who have money.

I have people who have no money but pretend to have it.

I hate posh people.

I hate chavs.

And I really I hate judgemental people.
I really really hate them. Scum of the earth. Put'em in a pit and torch'em.
