always loved republic, used to do gatecrasher many years ago - but its all gone a bit pooh at minute. Hed kandi is ace though, sorta feels like the good old days, with a "bed" feel to it. (bed nightclub that was on london rd)
atmos great, mixture of drinkers of alco and water.

tried Hed Kandi at Bed on last New Years Eve.....was good but wanted it to be a bit more bangin as the night went on....The Vine Inn on Cemetry Road was funny before hand, one side traditional Train Spotting pub....and the other playing so top techno... set the evening up well.

The Vine's a great Pub. I'd never call it a trainspotting pub though :confused:

I'm off to the vine in, ooh 2 and a half hours. Pool it is then.

Meant as in the film Trainspotting....winner stays on at pool, didn't dare play. People in roller blades skating past.

Liked it a lot.

No shame in having a go anyway but if you head there early in the day and pool tables often free anyway, think there's still a non-competitive one at the other side too.
