Charming :(

The official re-election site of President George W Bush is blocking visits from overseas users for "security reasons". The blocking began early on Monday so those outside the US and trying to view the site got a message saying they are not authorised to view it. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3961557.stm

Try it: http://www.georgewbush.com/

But if you can still get to it at: http://65.172.163.222/ (doh!)

What's so funny is that any attacks are probably coming from within the US but using systems based in another country.

Stupid?
Come on we're talking about the american government here, but then thinking about it our government have made some pretty foolish decisions in the past as well.

More proof that Yanks are morons.

I bet Tony Blair can get on his pal Mr Bush's site, seeing as how they're both up each others' arses.

In a Political sense at least....

Just had a look on the bush site and I like the look of it,very profesional and worth visiting.
I guess the presidents team are being very careful and who can blame them, this woul'd be a good time for the terrorists to strike so he is doing the right thing.
Mind you he will win the election so thats alright ain't it.

Don't know about you but I wouldn't be against John Kerry winning, cos then maybe we won't have a trans-atlantic "Boys club" running the World, meaning Washington and Downing St won't be so far up each other's arses.

Blair doesn't like Mr Kerry apparently :loopy:

Yes, Bush win, you cannot change the comandering chief in the middle of a war to start with, also did you know that Kerry's own home town newspaper has endorsed Bush ?

The vote may be close, but Kerry has a clear lead in newspaper endorsements. As of yesterday:

Kerry: 125
Bush: 96

Number that endorsed Bush in 2000, but now endorse Kerry: 35

Number that endorsed Gore in 2000, but now endorse Bush: 2

Nope, I read it in Bush's home town's paper (http://www.iconoclast-texas.com/Columns/Editorial/editorial39.htm), and it was also covered by hundreds of other media outlets (http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=Bush+Kerry+Iconoclast&btnG=Search+News).

Who gave me that idea? The hundreds of media stories I just linked to, the interviews with people I've seen on TV from Crawford Texas talking about their local paper - The Lone Star "Iconoclast", and the About Us (http://www.iconoclast-texas.com/about.htm) page from their website.

Happy now?

All the polls are to mixed up for anybody to have any idea what the result is going to be. I wouldn't be suprised if it's settled in the courts again.
