I have suffered from anti-social behaviour for 12 years. Although the police and the council admit it nothing can be done as the neighbours from HELL tell me they will assualt me if I complain again.
I have exhausted every avenue e.g.councillors, solicitors, M.P. etc. Can anyone offer some advive?

Sad but you might be better off moving.
Try being a friend instead of an enemy. They'll do it whilst they can get a reaction from you.
Hard I know, but will work better than always wagging the finger at the little things.

Christ! What a defeatist attitude!
Half-good advice from GazB. Just try to ignore them. He's right in saying they WANT you to react. If you don't, they'll get bored and find something else to do. Like blow themselves up with fireworks.
Complain again, take the beating (of they are genuine with that threat) and do them for assault too.

If you can get them on film acting in an anti social manner that would mean the police would have to act. Failing that and depending on what you are prepared to do I remember watching a program about a company who act as rent a witness/ covert surveilance. They would come to your area and for a fee would plot up film the culprits then give evidence in court. They were all ex forces lads and seemed very good but I can't remember their name.
A search on the net would reveal something Im sure. Good luck.

Set up a camera. the house I bought had the same problem. Meg Munn was involved (MP) and it was sorted eventually but my vendors moved anyway. get your other neighbours involved as it seemed to help in this case.

This could be us but for 3 years not 12. We have filled in diary sheets for the Council, contacted the Anti-Social Behaviour team, phoned the Police, written to our MP, written to David Blunkett. All these avenues have lead us nowhere. It seems that the onus is on the victim to gather evidence. Why don't the Council/Police do their bit? Things have calmed down a little but it is by no means perfect. The summer is worst - gangs of druggies gathering etc. We will move eventually as we are alone in this. It's affected my health and I can no longer enjoy my home.
I can utterly empathise with you.
At 11pm last evening, I heard a loud noise. I went to my window to see my green wheelie bin on it's side, the contents strewn.
Three yobs were making their way at the end of the street.
I ignored the act of vandalism and returned to my computer.
Discretion being the better part of valour......
I righted the bin and cleared up the mess this morning.
They should be barred from wearing hooded tops and also barred from owning brollies.
Though I cannot prove it, I bet they spit their chewing gum all over the place.
And between you and I, I reckon they are graffiti artists too.
Doesn't the antidote reside in having police on the streets?
Empty words and soundbites are never going to help!
