if you where walking down a street and you saw a beggar and a dog who would you feel sorry for the most ?

The dog,without a doubt. I know care in the community is a total joke so a lot of down and outs have got some form of mental health issue but there are plenty of agencies out there offering help. Some people are 'professional beggars' and are just out to fleece the gullible public before going back to their car and three bedroomed semi in Millhouses, [sorry Millhousers]
The dog though doesn't have the choice, they don't have a myriad of agencies looking out for them and as our society doesn't look after all our needy then a dog's got even less of a chance to a warm bed and food.

Perhaps that's why so many of them have skinny starved-looking dogs .... in the hope we will feel sorry for the dog and give them some money. I suppose when they ask us for money, we could always nip into a shop and return with a can of dog food lol.

I've said on a previous thread that I would favour a return to the old fashioned idea of dog-licenses.
