Hi

I have got an Ipod Nano 2Gb that for some reason will not work with my laptop. It will work fine on my Dad's computer. I'm not very technical so have no idea but someone told me my laptop usb port may not be powerful enough??? Could this be the case? I have Windows XP on my laptop.
I have tried to speak to someone at Apple but I was transferred to a call centre and the man I spoke to didn't understand what I was getting at.

Has anyone had the same problem, if so is there anything I could buy to enable it to work with my laptop? Do you think someone at the Apple store in M'hall would help me if I took my laptop and the Ipod?

What do you mean by doesn't work btw? Did you install iTunes first? Then plug in the nano?

I agree. If I were you, I would make an appt with the Apple Store "Geniuses" online and bring your laptop along with you to show them what exactly you are doing. Theyll be able to determine what your doing wrong and will be able to take you from there.

Even if you dont have usb 2.0, the ipod should still connect, though transfer of files and charge will be slow.
